Job Title: Microbiology Scientist II
Location: Based in the general area of Lakewood, NJ
Job Type: Full-time, direct hire
Working Hours: 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday 11pm•7:30am EST
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a Microbiology Scientist II to join their Quality Control Microbiology Laboratory. This role involves conducting and reporting cGMP test results, as well as providing training and support to other laboratory members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Adherence to current GMP requirements and company safety policies.
• Maintenance and repair of lab equipment, as well as lab housekeeping.
• Conducting microbiological analysis on test samples and reporting data.
• Performing environmental monitoring and quality control testing.
• Inventory management of media and materials required for testing.
• Documentation of deviations and out of specification results.
• Undertaking special projects including testing, data compilation, and report generation.
• Data entry for tracking and trend analysis report generation.
• Revision of SOPs, forms, protocols, and other controlled documents.
• Performing micro identifications using manual testing and automated systems.
• Maintaining lab stock cultures for evaluative testing.
• Ensuring compliance with good documentation practices.
• Interacting with Operations staff to facilitate data and documentation corrections.
• Creating purchase orders as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, health science, or microbiology.
• 2•5 years of experience in cGMP micro expertise.
